Spofford’s 2006 residents enjoyed success rates in several areas:

91 percent made progress toward their treatment goals
79 percent were discharged because they met their treatment goals
81 percent improved their academic performance
82 percent displayed improved social interaction in the community
75 percent remained in a less-restrictive setting 90 days after discharging from Spofford

Success at Spofford

Darren was angry and aggressive when he came to Spofford due to a long history of physical abuse. With therapeutic support, Darren worked to make sense of his abuse and was able to accept placement in a loving foster home, where he was eventually adopted. Read the full story
